FORT FAIRFIELD — Josh Churchill singled twice, scored once run and singled home another run to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 2-1 high school baseball win over Fort Kent Wednesday.

Austin Dufour also scored for Fort Fairfield and picked up the pitching victory with three innings of relief.

Austin Bixler earned the save with a scoreless seventh inning. He walked the leadoff batter, who then stole second and went to third on a passed ball before being picked off by Bixler to end the threat.

Alex Michaud had both of Fort Kent’s hits, including an RBI single.

Jared Soucy pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts for the Warriors.

At Rockland, Pat Norwood hit a two-run home run to highlight a four-run fifth inning as Maranacook of Readfield defeated Rockland.

Keegan Ballard added a double for the Black Bears.

Lucas Morrill, Joe Nelson and Dylan Meklin each had two singles while Nick Little hit a home run for Rockland.

At Farmington, Devin Lyshon hit three doubles, a single and drove in a run as Bangor topped Mt. Blue.

At Thorndike, Nick Grady hit a two-run homer and walked twice as the Eagles of South China held on for the win.

Caleb Bragg-Grady added a double and single for Erskine, while Andrew Ballantyne pitched a complete game.

Cody Raven hit a solo home run for Mount View while also striking out 10 batters during five innings on the mound.

Tyler Rednour singled twice for the Mustangs, while Tristen Ripley hit a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to draw Mount View within a run.

At Pittsfield, Gardiner rallied from a five-run deficit to score six runs in the seventh inning en route to victory over Maine Central Institute.

Donnie Cray hit a two-run single while Forrest Chadwick had an RBI triple and Nick Maschino added an RBI single.

Andy Shorey had three singles and three RBIs to pace MCI. Zack Doiron posted two singles and an RBI while Nick Cook had a single and two RBIs.

Bedore helped her cause with two hits, a double and a single, and an RBI. She has yet to yield an earned run this season.

Sophomore Sadie Redman knocked a solo homer and drove in a run with a single while Nicole Stairs provided three singles for the Rams, who played error-free defense behind Bedore.
