NEW SWEDEN and CARIBOU – Justin H. Tardie, 21, died unexpectedly April 27, 2009, in Bangor, as the result of an accident. He was born March 24, 1988, in New London, Conn., the son of David and Michele (Farina) Tardie. Justin was a graduate of Caribou High School, Class of 2006, as well as a 2008 graduate of Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Florida. He was employed by RER Motorsports in Connecticut as well as Paul Robertson Masonry, Caribou, and he had just recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Justin loved the outdoors; he especially enjoyed riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, jet skies and horseback riding. Surviving, in addition to his parents, David and Michele, are his younger brother, Zachary, all of New Sweden; many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at New Sweden Cemetery. Justin will be fondly remembered by all as a loving, caring and giving person, and his last gift was the gift of life to many through organ and tissue donation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to be established in his memory at Caribou High School Vocational Center, 308 Sweden St., Suite 1, Caribou, ME 04736.
