EAST PLANTATION – Marie D. Brewer, 75, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Percy and Edith (McPherson) Treffery. Marie was town clerk for East Plantation for many years and also worked for area farmers. She enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, crocheting and most of all, her family. She was a member of Old Fashioned Revival Center, Blaine. Marie is survived by her husband, Wallace Brewer Sr.; three children, Steve Brewer and his wife, Betty, Debbie Mosher and her husband, Bob, all of East Plantation, and Michael Brewer and his wife, Robin, of Presque Isle, two sisters, Ruth Bell and her husband, Harold, of Englewood, Fla., and Madeline Kinney of Easton; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by special friends, Joyce Kinney, Doris Terrell, Florence Grass, Rita Wilson and Mary Novak. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Jeff and Wallace Jr., in 1958; and two brothers, Wendell and Averill Treffery. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday at Old Fashioned Revival Center, Blaine, with the Rev. Mark Carter officiating.
