MACHIAS and BREWER – Linwood Edwin Reynolds, 71, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 14, 1938, in Machias, son of the late Ray and Cora (Pettegrow) Reynolds. Linwood was born with a lot of health challenges, but his father and mother gave him a lot of care and love. When his father died, his angel mother took care of him until the time came that he had to go to Marshall’s Nursing Home. Linwood enjoyed being around people. He especially looked forward to going to the Special Olympics each year. He also enjoyed going to workshops where he felt like he was really needed. In his younger years, Wayne Davis would take him on the truck with him and he enjoyed that association with everyone he met. A special thanks to all who took the time to visit with him. It always brought a smile to his face. He also enjoyed weekly dinners with Peggy and Robert Simon of Machias. Linwood, we love you and will miss you. We know that you have been reunited with your parents and family. Linwood is survived by four brothers and two sisters, Ray Reynolds and wife, Meridith, of Hancock, Lloyd Reynolds and his wife, Cathy, of Jonesport, Billy Reynolds and wife, Shirley, of Jefferson, Edwin Reynolds and wife, Helen, of Machias, Nadine Tidwell of Graham, N.C., and Peggy Burt and husband, Kent, of Mapleton, Utah; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be laid to rest next to his parents 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Bayview Cemetery, Larrabbee. Relatives and friends are invited.
