LINCOLN – June Haskell, 88, passed away April 21, 2009, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born June 3, 1920, in Lincoln, the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (MacDonald) Haskell. June was a 1938 graduate of Mattanawcook Academy. She worked at the Lincoln mill for 26 years before it closed in 1968. She then worked at Workman Nursing Home and then at Colonial Healthcare as a certified nurse’s aide for 20 years. She loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed music and singing. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Gladys Gillespie and Joseph Gillespie. She is survived by three nieces, Donna Hilchey and Barbara Thompson of Lewiston, and Roberta Parker and her husband, Mark Parker, of Passadumkeag. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Perry officiating.
