PATTEN – Georgianna Corriveau, 84, left those who loved her to be with the one who loves her April 21, 2009, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Stockholm, the daughter of George and Eveline Corriveau. At the age of 14, she moved with her parents to Patten, where she lived until the last few years of her life. Georgie’s life was characterized by her love for her family, her friends and her church. She enjoyed large gatherings, good food, opportunities to do a job well and quiet time to “work” her puzzles. She maintained a standard for her life that included honesty, generosity, gentleness and loyalty, and trusted that others did the same. Georgianna was predeceased by four brothers and one sister, Joe, Rosaire, Abel, Albert and Mary. She is survived by two brothers and a sister, John Corriveau and his wife, Ida, of Presque Isle, Leon Corriveau of Limestone, and Rose Jones of Presque Isle, with whom she resided for many years; and a large extended family. She leaves two special friends, Gloria Noyes and Laura Mitchell, with whom she shared many happy hours of conversation and game playing. She will also be missed by a niece, whose life has been greatly enriched and blessed by their lifelong friendship. A family service will be held in Presque Isle at a later date. Condolences to be shared with the family may be sent to Rose Jones, Leisure Village, 6 Dewberry Drive, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
