OLD TOWN – Sylvia M. (Jameson) Gauthier, 85, died April 20, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 10, 1923, in Old Town, the daughter of Lester and Sadie (White) Jameson. Sylvia worked for James River Mill for 20 years and prior to that, she worked for Sylvania. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Gauthier and his wife, Debbie, of Old Town and Jimmy Gauthier and his significant other, Maria, of Old Town; five grandchildren, Melissa Lloyd and her husband, Mark, of Brewer, Michelle Drinkwater and her husband, Chris, of Old Town, Marci Cyr and her husband, Glen, of North Yarmouth, Dale Andrew Gauthier and his wife, Lynette, of Hampden and Kris Gauthier of Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jared Drinkwater of Old Town, Madison and Nathan Cyr of North Yarmouth, Nicholas and Samantha Gauthier of Hampden; two brothers, Earl Jameson and his wife, Lurleen, of Old Town and Richard Jameson of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Nita Jameson of Great Works; many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Amos Gauthier; one son, Dale Gauthier; three brothers, Isaac Jameson, Lester Woodrow Jameson and James Jameson; and two sisters, Beulah Young and Margaret Currier. At Sylvia’s request, there will be no services. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town.
