LENOIR, N.C. – Ronald Joseph “Ned” Nadeau, 57, died Monday, April 20, 2009, at Caldwell County Hospice after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 29, 1952, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, to Normand and Magella Roux Nadeau. He was a 1971 graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket. He was predeceased by two brothers, Enoil “Charlie” Nadeau and Johnny Nadeau; and one brother-in-law, Ricky Ewing. Survivors include his father, Normand Nadeau of St. Francois, New Brunswick; his mother, Magella Nadeau of Bangor; one son, Matthew Nadeau and wife, Rachel, of Lenoir, N.C.; one daughter, Jill Coffey and husband, Bobby, of Lenoir, N.C.; one brother, Jimmy Nadeau and wife, Leila, of Suffolk, Va.; one sister, Norma Ewing of Windham; four grandchildren, Austin, Daulton, Destiny and Katelynn Coffey; three nephews, Noah, Adam “No. 1” and Eric; two nieces, Linah and Sarah; a beloved dog, Buddy; and many cousins and special friends. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at Scenic Memorial Gardens, Wilkesboro, N.C. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes, N.C. Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes is serving the Nadeau family.
