MILLINOCKET – Gloria E. Morneault went to be with the Lord Monday, April 20, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 8, 1930, in East Millinocket, to Stephen and Lala (Glidden) Bacon. Gloria was a devoted wife to Edward J. Morneault, who passed away March 2007. A loving mother, she is survived by sons, Stephen and his wife, Susan, of Gorham and Terry and his wife, Cindy, of Millinocket; and daughter, Carol Brodeur of Hermon. Gloria is also survived by her grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, Miranda Brodeur of Carrabassett Valley, Brandon Brodeur and his wife, Jessica, of Glenburn, Bethany Morneault of Boston and Bryan Morneault of Millinocket. She leaves two sisters and their families, Barbara Wardwell of Jay and nephews, Gary and David, and June Michaud and her husband, Leroy, of East Millinocket and niece, Nancy Bestafka. Gloria is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins, Robert, Emmy and Scott Glidden, who helped her greatly during her illness; and by her husband’s sister, Arlene Levasseur and her husband, Raymond, of Millinocket. Gloria will be sadly missed by her close friends, Eugene and Shirley Albert. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where a celebration of Gloria’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 24.
