At North Adams, Mass., Joe Parillo had a double, single and three RBIs to help lead the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts past the University of Maine-Presque Isle. Brenden Wyand earned the win for MCLA (15-7). Paul Procopio had three singles and an RBI while Tim Burns had three singles. Brandon Elie hit an RBI double in the ninth for the UMPI Owls (10-19). Corey Harding also had a double.

Trinity 11, Colby 2

At Hartford, Conn., Jeremiah Bayer struck out nine batters and allowed just one unearned run in eight innings as the Bantams cruised to victory. Ryan Piacentini hit a grand slam to highlight a six-run eighth inning by Trinity (19-3) that broke the game open. Dom Morrill hit an RBI single for Colby (5-15).

Tufts 15, Bowdoin 3

At Medford, Mass., Kevin Casey collected four hits, including a double, and drove in three runs to key a 15-hit attack that led Tufts past Bowdoin. Alex Perry had three singles and two RBIs for the Jum-bos (11-14) and David Leresche and Ian Goldberg had two hits apiece. Goldberg had a two-run triple among his hits. Mike Stefaniak struck out 10 in notching the win. Kevin Zikaras and Dan Hicks each had a solo homer and a single for Bowdoin (16-13). Joe Berte added a solo homer.

Southern Maine 24, Plymouth State 6

At Plymouth, N.H., Collin Henry and Ryan Gaff-ney combined for eight hits and eight RBIs as Southern Maine of Gorham won its 12th straight. Henry collected two doubles and his second homer of the season, finishing with five RBIs for the Hus-kies (24-3), while Gaffney had four singles and three RBIs. Jordan Berthiaume contributed two doubles and a single and Josh Mackey three singles. Marc McGinnis hit a three-run homer and Matt Koban a solo homer for Plymouth State (9-15).

Trinity 9, Colby 5

At Waterville, Melanie Orphanos went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two singles two runs, and an RBI to lead Trinity College past the White Mules. Trin-ity (12-11) took a 7-1 lead in the fifth after Jessica Tait hit a two-run double. Tait also singled. Erika Klotz had two singles and two RBIs. Alyssa Lepore singled twice and Barbara Santos hit an RBI single and scored two runs for the Mules (13-8).

At East Machias, Bryce Colbeth’s two-run homer in the sixth capped a seven-run rally and lifted the Raiders past the Blue Devils. Matt Jenkins contrib-uting to the uprising with a grand slam for Wash-ington Academy. Josh Gillespie hit a two-run homer and Ben Pagels a two-run shot for Calais.

At East Machias, Honor Wilkinson and Whitney Remington each had two singles and an RBI as Cal-ais won the mutual opener. Shannon Brown added two singles for the Blue Devils. Christy Smith hit a two-run triple and Bre Nicely two singles for Wash-ington Academy.
