HUDSON – Joyce P. Nisbett, 79, passed away peacefully due to natural causes April 16, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1929, the daughter of George E. and Mary Cox Peters. Joyce graduated from Brewer High School and retired from Atlantic Salmon Commission, where she worked as a clerk typist for several years. She loved reading mystery novels, flower gardening and writing children’s short stories. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by three daughters, Carollee Starkey and husband, David, of Brewer, Kelly Bushey and husband, Michael, of Hudson and Lauri Varnum and husband, Randy, of Sedgewick; one son, David Nisbett of Milford; six grandchildren, Ambre White, Candice White, Eryne West, Chris McArthur, Evan Bushey and Victoria Varnum; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Savanna, Ian and Deacon.
