BRADFORD – Daniel Adrian Pray Jr., 24, died April 15, 2009, in Charleston, as the result of an auto accident. He was born June 10, 1984, in Bangor, the son of Daniel and Shelley (Hathaway) Pray Sr. He was an employee of H.A. Higgins & Son, Inc. of Charleston. Daniel loved to hunt, snowmobile and go four-wheeling, and cheer for a Jeff Gordon win. His great love was spending time with his daughter, Ava; his stepdaughter, Breanna; and his brother, Dylan. He is also survived by his father of Bradford and his mother of Bangor; a sister, Sophia Largay of Bangor; paternal grandparents, Adrian and Valerie Pray of Bradford and Ron and Sandra Moody of Rockledge, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Steven and Shirley Hathaway of Bangor and Linda Gregory of Kenduskeag; great-grandparents, Charlotte Martin of Kenduskeag and Stanley and Eileen Hathaway of Corinth; stepmother, Carrie Savage; and stepbrother, Dustin Ewer, both of Bradford; a very special cousin, Lindsey Allen of California; a very special aunt, Cara Madore of Augusta; the love of his life, Courtney Townsend of Charleston; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends that loved him very much. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday at Charleston Pentecostal Church, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. Burial will be at Pond Road Cemetery, Bradford. Those who wish may make memorial donations in his memory to the Ava Pray Scholarship Fund, care of Bangor Savings Bank, 871 Hammond St., Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
