LILLA SCRIBNER

BRADFORD and DOVER-FOXCROFT – Lilla Scribner, 90, wife of the late Sheldon Scribner, died April 13, 2009, in Plymouth, after a short illness. She was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Prospect, the daughter of Leo and Esther (Moody) True. She attended schools in Frankfort and was a resident of Bradford for more than 32 years, moving to Dover-Foxcroft in 1974. She was a member of Bradford United Baptist Church. She is survived by her grandchildren, Roger Flanders and his friend, Val, and Paul Flanders and his wife, Tami, all of Dover-Foxcroft, Brian Ireland and his friend, Lisa Roy, of Bangor, Renee Tash and her husband, Tom, of Dover-Foxcroft, and Daniel Ireland of Dover-Foxcroft; her great-grandchildren, Haley Flanders of Atkinson, Rebekah and Chelsea Flanders of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Darrell Ryan and his friend, Lee Lancaster, of Plymouth, and a special niece, Connie Lyford and her husband, Austin, of Bradford; a daughter-in-law, Joanne True of Charleston; and a sister, Olga Greenleaf of Belfast. Lilla was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Brooks; her son, Roger True; and her sister, Bessie Ryan. Friends may call noon Friday until the time of services 1 p.m. at Bradford United Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Booker officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery, Bradford. The family invites relatives and friends to join them for refreshments and fellowship after the burial at the church. Arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
