PITTSFIELD and DEXTER – Arline Clukey, 88, was called home with the angels April 11, 2009. She was born May 7, 1920, the daughter of Emma and Franklin Clukey. Arline graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1939. She worked for N.Y.A., helping the war effort at Fay-Scott, Dexter, and later worked for Sears Roebuck, Boston, Mass., in their corporate office. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and had a special love of music. She spent much of her later years in the Dexter and Pittsfield areas. Arline is survived by two nieces, Carolyn Theriault and family of Dexter, and Anna Sensick and children of Bangor. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. The family thanks Dexter Health Care and members of St. Anne’s Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist for their compassionate care. At her request, there will be no visiting hours. A graveside committal service will be held later in the spring in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Father Robert Reagan officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may sign an online guest register and leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
