MARGARET ‘MOLLY’ YORK

MEDWAY – Margaret “Molly” York entered the kingdom of heaven April 9, 2009, at Gosnell House Hospice, Scarborough. She was born March 7, 1941, in Lincoln, daughter of Irene and Angus Hamm. She was raised in East Millinocket and graduated from Schenck High School. She married Ronald L. York, in 1962 and lived in Medway. She enjoyed playing dominos, reading, knitting and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Angus York and his wife, Kelley, of Milo and their children, Wyatt, Kayla and Samantha York, of Corinth, Andrew York and his wife, Dawn, of Gorham and their children, Drew and Alex, and Barbara Haase and her husband, Roland, of Waterville and their children, Christopher, Hilary, Vicki, Andy, Breanna, Devon, Nathan and Tyler; three sisters, Chris Jarvis of Kernersville, N.C., Patricia Putnam of Medway and Annette Plaisted of Gonic, N.H.; and two brothers, Dana Polland of Brewer and Edward Polland of Glendale, Ariz. She was predeceased by her parents, Irene and Angus Hamm; her husband, Ronald York; and a son, Thomas York. Molly shared her compassion and great love of others with everyone she met. She leaves behind many close friends. Family members will greet friends 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at United Church of Christ, Maple Street, East Millinocket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Molly’s name to Gosnell House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.
