DOVER-FOXCROFT – James Allen Ruksznis, 64, husband of Brenda (Dority) Ruksznis, died unexpectedly April 10, 2009, at a Bangor hospital, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Wilbur and Dorothy (Preble) Ruksznis. A 1961 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Jim was well known and loved by all who knew him. He owned and operated Ruksznis Welding for 42 years. Jim’s favorite pastimes included target shooting with his friends and family at camp, and watching movies over and over with his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his best friend and wife of 25 years, Brenda of Dover-Foxcroft; seven children and 11 grandchildren, Penny Kerwin and husband, Kevin and sons, Conner and Samuel; Peter; Thomas; Jim and longtime companion, Kim Alcala and son, Tony; Dick Nye; and Laurie Pierce and son, Cougar Brown; Christy Narowski and husband, Lester and children, Zakariya, Isaiah, Claire, Wyatt, Hailie, Tristan and Zaid. He also leaves his beloved uncle, Harold of Dover-Foxcroft, with whom he worked for many years. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Route 15, Dover-Foxcroft. Burial will be at Dover Cemetery.
