FORT KENT – Arlene (Levasseur) Belanger, 72, died April 9, 2009, surround by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 11, 1936, daughter of Emile and Rose Marie (Pinette) Levasseur. Arlene always had a great smile and good sense of humor every time you would meet her. She is survived by her loving husband, Norman Belanger of Fort Kent; her children, Carrie Ouellette and her husband, Karl, Lorraine Babin and her husband, Clayton, and Ricky Belanger and his wife, Niki, all of Fort Kent; her four grandchildren, Corey Hebert, Wendy Bard, Troy Babin and R.J. Belanger, all of Fort Kent; four great-grandchildren; her siblings, Emile Levasseur, Joan Plourde, Mary Lacruz, all of Connecticut, Carrol Levasseur of Tennessee, Judi Levasseur of Fort Kent and Madeline Michaud of Georgia; many nieces and nephews. As requested by Arlene, there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Family members will greet friends 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday, April 14, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be at the parish cemetery.
