BANGOR – Ruth E. Taber, 81, died April 8, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born June 20, 1927, in Waltham, Mass., daughter of Beverly and Mary J. (Corcoran) Weagle. Ruth was a graduate of Waltham High School. After graduation, she was employed as a receptionist at Waltham Watch Factory, where she met her loving husband of 61 years, Andrew Taber. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Andrew “Andy” Taber, are one son, Keith Taber; a granddaughter, Shana M. DiNapoli, all of Bangor; a sister, Lorraine DeMeo of Waltham, Mass.; one brother, Edward Weagle of New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Mal, William, Robert and Charles Weagle; and sisters, Thelma White, Claire Carrol and Barbara Burns. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
