HOULTON – Linden Lee Sides, 67, died April 8, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Houlton, the son of Theron “Buster” and Gladys (Staples) Sides. Lindy was a member of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. Together with his wife, Ruth, Lindy owned and operated L & R Trucking for 35 years. His life revolved around work, even when he wasn’t on the road he could be found puttering around working on something; but foremost in his life was family, especially the grandchildren. Lindy is survived by his wife, Ruth (Albert) Sides of Houlton; three sons, Alan Sides of Michigan, Michael Sides and his wife, Connie, of Windham, and Glen Sides of Oakfield; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Will Sides of Bangor and Kary Sides of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with the Rev. David Raymond, celebrant.
