VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Eva Grace Stinson Wight, 80, passed away April 4, 2009, after a serious illness. Born Feb. 11, 1929, to Calvin L. and Marion A. Stinson, she was raised in Prospect Harbor and lived most of her life in the Bath area. She attended Higgins Classical Institute and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in business. She married Carlton E. Wight of Bethel, and they had three daughters, Carla, Jean and Ellen. A devoted Christian, mother and homemaker, Ms. Wight taught in the Bath school system for nine years, was a licensed realtor and a travel agent in her husband’s business. In her later years, she became an accomplished pianist and calligrapher. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carla and Victor Intza of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jean Rakoske of Delanson, N.Y.; as well as five grandchildren and five siblings. Visiting hours begin 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Sovereign Grace Church, 508 North Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake, Va., where the service will be held 2 p.m. Flowers may be sent to the church or donations given in her memory to World Challenge Inc.
