GREENBUSH – Shirley I. Fowler, 64, passed away April 6, 2009, surrounded by her family, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1944, the daughter of Walter and Arline (Sproul) Smith. Shirley was a member of Cardville Pentecostal Church, Greenbush, for many years. Family and friends were very important to her, and were always her number one priority. Shirley enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Ansil Fowler; her four children, Wanda Fowler and her significant other, Mike Sylvester, Cindy Sanborn, Kevin Fowler and his significant other, Ruth Emerson, and Keith Fowler and his wife, Colleen; her eight grandchildren, April, Crystal, Angela, Roger, Becky, Chad, Aaron and Alicia; her five great-granddaughters, Taylor, Kaylee, Arianna, Danicka and Ava; her first great-grandson, Nicholas, who is still on the way; and her two sisters, Barbara Buxton and Linda Deveckx. Shirley is also survived by her special niece, Arlene Soucier; and her close friends, Nancy and George Wood, and Nancy McKnight. A committal service will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town, to be announced in the spring. Services entrusted to Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
