SEDGWICK – Richard Thomas Gross, 65, died April 6, 2009, at a Blue Hill hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Castine, the son of Thomas P. and Mary G. (Springer) Gross. Richard attended school in Bucksport. He had been a school bus driver for Union 76 for 43 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bingo and slots. He is survived by his companion of 18 years, Joyce Gilley; son, Tony Gross of Sedgwick; daughters, Lorie Morse of Sedgwick and Christi Gross of Brooklin; grandchildren, Ashly, Jay-lee, Jayme, Sean-na, Shayne and Gregory; great-granddaughter, Arianne Betts of Deer Isle; brother, Keith Gross of Orrington; and sister, Sharon Gross of Bucksport. He was predeceased by his parents; and granddaughters, Marssey and Darcy. A graveside service will be announced in the spring.
