PALMYRA – E. Arlene Lewis, 85, died April 5, 2009, at her residence after a long illness. She was born March 22, 1924, in Dexter, a daughter of George and Sadie (Morrill) Nutter. She was a member of Palmyra Senior Citizens and drove a school bus for SAD 48, retiring at age 75. Arlene is survived by a daughter, Susan and husband, Timothy Boulanger, of Hartland; a dear friend, Lyle Chadwick of Palmyra; a brother, Harold and wife, Millie Nutter, of St. Albans; a sister, Dorothy Dubois of Ripley; two grandchildren, Nathaniel and wife, Debbie Boulanger, of West Baldwin and Matthew Boulanger and fianc’e, Sierra Hendricks, of Corinna; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Emma Boulanger; a special nephew, Wayne and wife, Pam Peterson Sr., of Palmyra; special great-nephew and great-niece, Wayne and wife, Amanda Peterson Jr. and their children, Chase and Hailey, and Kelly and husband, J. D. Emerson and their children, Zack and Luke of Winterport; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Nutter of Hartland. She was predeceased by her husband, Clair “Duffy” Lewis; a brother, Walter Nutter; and a sister, Evelyn Preston. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9, with Pastor Al. H. Worden officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland, later in the spring.
