EASTON – Hilda A. Langley, 89, wife of the late Aubrey B. Langley, passed away Friday morning, April 3, 2009, at a Presque Isle health care facility, after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Percy and Hazel (Brooks) Ames. She was a graduate of Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, and was married to Aubrey B. Langley, Oct. 19, 1940. Hilda was a member of Easton Methodist Church and had been employed as a secretary and bookkeeper with the Maine Farmers Exchange and the Maine Bureau of Unemployment, both of Presque Isle. In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey, Aug. 4, 1975; and one sister, Afton Burrill. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marcia Langley of Fort Fairfield; one daughter, Frances Kelley and her partner, Lee Martz, of Winterport; six grandchildren, Richard A. Langley II and his partner, Denise Adams, of Hallowell, Aaron P. Langley and his wife, Suzanne Merrill, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kimberly Paterson and her husband, David, of Greenbush, Jay Kelley of Port-land, Kristen Perkins and her husband, Robert K., of Orono and Mickey Buckingham of Ashland; four great-grandchildren, David D., Megan A. and Nicholas P. Paterson, all of Greenbush and Robert L. Perkins of Orono; and one nephew, Walter Burrill. In keeping with Hilda’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. A service of committal will be held later in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Langley to the Ronald McDonald House, Our House of Maine, Inc., 654 State St., Bangor, ME 04402-0404. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
