MADAWASKA – Rosaire Cyr, 81, died April 2, 2009, surrounded by his family at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Green River, New Brunswick, the son of Pierre and Louise (Clavette) Cyr. Rosaire was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served as a deep-sea diver/welder. He is survived by his wife, Rella (St. Amant) Cyr of Madawaska; one daughter, Pat Bourgoin and her husband, Mike, of Madawaska; three sons, Richard Cyr and his wife, Lorraine, of Frenchville, Jim Cyr and his wife, Linda, of St. David and Pete Cyr and his wife, Sandra, of Madawaska; one sister, Rita Deprey of Madawaska; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson, Travis Cyr. To Eastern Maine Medical Center’s medical personnel who were involved in Rosaire’s medical care, the Cyr family extends a deep gratitude for the outstanding, professional and caring service they provided. Eastern Maine Medical Center’s services extend well beyond the medical realm. The Cyrs’ loss of their loved one has been greatly assuaged by Eastern Maine Medical Center’s “medical angels.” Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be later in the spring at the parish cemetery.
