At Nashua, N.H., Tyler Delaney hit two doubles and a solo home run while driving in two runs to lead the University of Maine at Presque Isle to victory over Daniel Webster College. D.J. Charette had three singles and a double for the Owls (5-14). A.J. Pennartz had a triple and two doubles with three runs scored and Tyson Tash hit three singles. Freshman Max Mayer picked up his first collegiate win after allowing one earned run in 5¤ innings. Chris McKenzie hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning to pace Daniel Webster (0-14). Kory Kiro singled twice.

At South Portland, senior Anthony D’Alfonso hit a third-inning grand slam as the University of Southern Maine of Gorham held off Bridgewater State College. Josh Mackey added a two-run single in the sixth inning for the Huskies (13-3). Brendan Elliot hit two home runs for four RBIs for Bridgewater (10-9).
UNE sweeps Southern Maine
At Biddeford, Jenn Waldecker and Marie Mantelli combined for seven RBIs as the University of New England defeated the University of Southern Maine of Gorham 11-2 in the second game. The Nor’easters also won the first game 9-4. In the first game, Megan Gaedje hit a triple and knocked in a run to lead the Nor’easters. Liz Kelly and Caroline Engwer each had two singles. Carise Humphrey doubled and singled for the Huskies. In the second game, Waldecker homered and singled with four RBIs for UNE (12-3-1). Mantelli added a home run, a single and three RBIs. Heidi Swett tripled to lead the Huskies (1-15) and Jessica Hayden doubled.
