EAGLE LAKE – Joan Dube Morneault, 71, died peacefully March 31, 2009, surrounded by her loved ones at home. Joan married her husband July 3, 1954, and helped raise his three children, ages 5-9, Camille Morneault Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Levant, Camilla Iverson and her husband, Jerome, of St. Peter, Minn., and June Lozier and her husband, John, of Plaisted. She is survived by her children, Betty Morneault of Eagle Lake, Mrs. Geneva Michaud and her husband, Michael, Mrs. Maxine Valcourt and her husband, Pierre, and Tommy Morneault, all of Eagle Lake, Lisa Morneault of Fort Kent, and Mrs. Tracy Johnson and her husband, Jeffery, of Gaffney, S.C; 16 grandchildren, Douglas, Bucky Morneault, Tammy, Dorothy, April Iverson, Marc, and Jeffrey Lozier, Justin Johnson, Jennifer, Bobbie Jo, and Joni Michaud, Ben, Christina and Eric Valcourt, Krista and Dawson Morneault; 40 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Larry, Danny and his wife, Lori, and Wayne, all of Connecticut; three sisters, Birdie and husband, Gene, of Connecticut, Linda and partner, Wayne, of Eagle Lake, and Carol and husband, Merrill, of Wallagrass; and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her infant son, Willard in 1955; a three-month-old great-granddaughter, Adara in 2004; a brother, Robert Dube in 1965; her father, Larry Dube in 1978; her beloved husband of 25 years, Camille in 1979; her mother, Cecile Dube in 1987; four brothers, Lionel in 2001, James in 2002, Gerald in 2004 and Alfred in 2007; sister, Betty Michaud in 2007; three nephews, Philip Jr., Willard Jr., and Richard; and one niece, Theresa, which were all from Connecticut. Joan lost a brother, Willard, March 25, 2007, and three days later she lost another brother, Phillip on March 28. Mom we’re all going to miss you, but you must be so happy now. I’m sure you are rocking your baby, Willard; your void is finally filled. I love you so much. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O. Box 688, Caribou, ME 04736.
