FRENCHVILLE and ST. DAVID – Annette D. Cyr, 89, died March 31, 2009, at a Frenchville health care facility. Annette passed away less than a couple of hours before her 90th birthday. She was born April 1, 1919, in Daigle, the daughter of Denis and Beatrice (Roy) Deschaine. She was a lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 147 for 56 years. She was also a lifetime member of Ladies of St. Ann for 51 years. Annette is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Urbey Cyr of St. David; her five children, Anne Beatrice Deschaine and her husband, Real, of St. David, Jane Cyr and her partner, Lewis Plourde, of St. Agatha, Danny G. Cyr of St. David, James A. Cyr and his wife, Judy, of St. David, and Lucy Cote and her husband, Andrew, of Juniper, New Brunswick; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie Cyr, Wayne Cyr, Danielle “DeeDee” Cyr, Angel Deschaine, Kendra Deschaine, Jason Cyr, Liza Winters, Danny “D.J.” Cyr, Dennis Cyr, Dana Cyr, Dean Cote and Chantal Cote; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emelia, Tyson, Keira, Kenzi, JJ, Danny III “little D,” Spencer and Loren; several step-grandchildren, great-step-grandchildren and godchildren. Annette was predeceased by her son, Urbey Cyr Jr.; brothers, Philip, Leo, Lezime “Lee,” Isidore and Joeseph “Joe”; and sisters, Odile, Rose, Flavie, Betty and Anne. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, at St. David Church. Friends and family may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday at Daigle Funeral Home. Spring interment will be held at St. David Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Annette’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
