LEWISTON, Maine — A substitute high school teacher faces charges of gross sexual assault and furnishing liquor to a minor in a case involving a 15-year-old student.

Lewiston police say 22-year-old Seth Prideaux was charged Monday with having sex with the girl over the weekend.

Police say Prideaux is a substitute French teacher at Leavitt High School in Turner, where the girl is a student.
