Front-end loader catches fire at Maine mill

RUMFORD, Maine — Fire officials say a front-end loader was extensively damaged in a fire at the New Page Mill in Rumford.

Deputy Fire Chief Richard Coulombe said the loader was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived Thursday evening. It took about 45 minutes to put extinguish the blaze.

Coulombe said the fire was contained to the front-end loader, but the cause hasn’t been determined.
