WILLIAM ‘BILLY CHARLES’ TREADWELL

LAMOINE – William “Billy Charles” Treadwell died unexpectedly Sept. 26, 2006, in Lamoine. He was born Sept. 13, 1950, in Seattle, the son of Kenneth and Barbara J. (Juhlin) Treadwell. Bill graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in drama. He was a model and actor in California for many years, performing in several movies and modeling for several magazines. He then became a cruise ship director and traveled all over the world. During his travels, he met Leah in the Caribbean and they began their journey together. Their greatest blessing was their two sons, Nathan and Austin; Bill loved them more than anything in the world. William was known as “Billy Charles” in downeast Maine. He was a radio announcer for many years with the local radio stations. He also enjoyed playing the banjo and the guitar. He is survived by his wife, Leah; children, Nathan and Austin of Lamoine; one sister, Barbara Treadwell of Seattle; two brothers, James Treadwell and his wife, Sheri, of Seattle and Thomas Treadwell of New York City; and two nephews, Spencer and Bradley, both of Seattle. Contributions in Billy Charles’ memory may be made, towards a college fund for his children, to The First Bank, care of Bonnie Marckoon, 235 High St., Ellsworth, ME 04605. A celebration of his life will be announced by the family at a later date.
