ORRINGTON – Marcel E. Gosselin, 67, died Sept. 22, 2006, surrounded by his family, at a Brewer health care facility. He was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Lewiston, the son of Archille and Beatrice (Coulombe) Gosselin. Marcel enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved traveling, spending time at the ocean and listening to country music. Marcel worked as a carpenter throughout his life. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gertrude (Berube) Gosselin of Orrington; children, Marie-Anne Waddell and husband, Stephen, of Bangor, Monique Brooks of Clifton, Marlene Grover and husband, Charles Jr., of Eddington and Mark Gosselin of Orrington; sisters, Exilia St. Pierre of York, Liette Poliquin of Palermo and Yvette Gosselin of Wells; brothers, J. P. Gosselin and wife, Lucille, of Orrington and Donald Gosselin and wife, Jeannine, of Lewiston; sister-in-law, Doris Gosselin of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Garret and Dustin Brooks, Charles III and Caleb Grover; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Gosselin. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, 425 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the St. Teresa’s Parish Center after the service. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
