MADAWASKA – Eva Daigle, 95, a resident of Ridgewood Estates, passed away July 24, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born March 18, 1909, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, the daughter of Theophile and Delina (Levasseur) Tardif. She was the wife of the late Louis C. Daigle. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Dufour and her husband, Yvon, of Madawaska, and Thelma Nickerson and her husband, Frederick “Nick,” of Englewood, Fla.; three grandchildren, Sonia Tardif and her husband, Donald, of Madawaska, Sandra Gagnon and her husband, Roger, of St. Basile, New Brunswick, and Michael Nickerson of Venice, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Rene and Chantal Gagnon and Kyle Tardif. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ida Morin and Wilma Grandmaison; and by one brother, Philip Tardif. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. There will be no public visitations at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
