BELMONT – Esther Lorraine (Weed) Farrar, 67, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2006. She was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Portland, to Ernest and Esther Weed. Esther loved to have her family around her and she was always sure that everyone received one of her wonderful bear hugs. In 1988, Esther graduated from Mid State College with an associate’s degree in the medical assistant program. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant until her recent retirement. Esther had been a member of the Belfast Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses for the past several years. Family was very important to Esther. Her family, who will all miss her greatly includes, her husband of 51 years, Maurice R. Farrar; their sons, David and his wife, Nancy, Michael, Ernest and his wife, Julie; their daughters, Celia York and husband, Lionel Sr., Anita Wellman and her husband, Clyde Jr.; her grandchildren are Ben and his wife, Michelle, Lionel Jr. and his wife, Kristen, Danielle and her husband, Robert, Jessica, Jennifer, and Maranda. Her great-grandchildren are Lionel III, Zachary, Tabitha, Alexis and Victoria. She also leaves two sisters, her twin, Estella Austin and Joyce Rowe. She also will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by one grandson, Christopher L. Wellman. There will be a memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. A committal service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery, Montville. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home.
