BANGOR – Edith M. Eubanks, 91, wife of the late husbands, James P. Eubanks, 1980, George L. Law, 1968, and Wesley M. Horne, 1946, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on July 23, 2004, after a few months in a Bangor health facility. She was born Feb. 14, 1913, in Dawson, Ga., the daughter of Johnny and Tempie (Lundy) McLeod. Edith lived in Albany, Ga., most of her life and was employed by Coats & Clark Thread Co. She has been living in Bangor since September 1987, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed going to church, helping those in need, reading and being a homemaker. She was predeceased by a sister, Nadine Rigsby of Dawson, Ga., in 1990; and a brother, Malcolm McLeod of Albany, Ga., in 1994. Edith is survived by her two daughters, Mary Dean (Horne) Stokes and husband, Marvin, of Hudson, and Alice Rebecca (Horne) Hand and husband, Ronald, of Brookfield, Ga.; a step-daughter, Earline Holley and husband, Sterling, of Damascus, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kathryn LaForest and husband, James, of Hudson, Gregory Stokes and wife, Cindy, of Levant, Theresa Ann Ricks of Beckly, W.Va., Celia Smith and husband of McDonopugh, Ga., Tracey Ramsey and husband, Tommy, of Tifton, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; a number of step-children; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral and interment will be in Albany, Ga. A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family members residing in Maine. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
