LAMBERT LAKE and CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Edita C. Wright, 60, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, while visiting her family in her home country of the Phillipines. She was born May 22, 1944, in Leyte, the daughter of Dominador and Expectacion Griego. Edita was married to her loving husband, Larry G. Wright for 37 years. They met while he was in the Air Force. She enjoyed sharing her Filipino heritage with her family and friends, especially cooking traditional Filipino dishes and teaching her grandchildren Tagalog. She recently oversaw the construction of their cabin in Lambert Lake. She will be remembered for her laughter and love of all games. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her mother-in-law, Cynthia Longfellow; two daughters, Marlynn Beach and her husband, Robert, of Lambert Lake; Sheila Sandin and her husband, Darin, of Mcguire AFB, N.J.; one son, Jeffrey Wright and his wife. Annette. of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Chastity Beach, Zane and Olivia Sandin, and Callie Wright; four brothers, Marciano, Leo, Bernardo, and Danilo Griego; and three sisters, Carmen Lopez, Virginia Forgue, and Marivic Alojado; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins; and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Expectacion Griego, and her father-in-law, Delmar Longfellow of Lambert Lake. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Vanceboro United Methodist Church. A gathering of family and friends immediately following services will be held at the home of Marlynn and Robert Beach in Lambert Lake.
