DEDHAM and BANGOR Doris L. Kidder, 89, died Sept. 22, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Bangor. She was born Sept. 21, 1917, the daughter of Sherley and Cora Young. Doris lived most of her life on Bald Mountain, Dedham. She was a member of the Dedham Congregational Church and was employed for many years at Emple Knitting Mill. Doris loved fabrics, quilting and also braided many, many rugs. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Kidder; siblings, Clarence and Earl Young, Florence Yoder; and great-grandson, Jason Stanley. She leaves her four daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Robert Hogan of Bangor, Joyce and Richard Tolle of Youngs-town, Ohio, Janice and George Crouse of Brewer and Jean and Tom Martin of Brewer; one sister and special brother-in-law, Marilyn and Pete Holyoke; and one brother and sister-in-law, Owen and Lorna Young; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dana Douglas, pastor of the Dedham Congregational Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Dedham.
