Woman searches for answers on disbursements of family trust
Maura Gammans has been looking into an old family trust from relatives of her husband Jonathan. Decades ago, it was fairly common practice for the affluent and civic minded to leave some of their money in trust for the worthy poor when they died. But although the money is still there, in many cases the trustees have come and gone and the intentions of the initial testator may also have come and gone. The Gammans' have been trying to examine an old family trust to no avail. The family wants to be certain the money is being dispersed properly and not just sitting in a bank, collecting custodial fees.
