Truck collides with Montreal, Maine and Atlantic train

A dump truck collided with a Montreal, Maine and Atlantic train Thursday Aug. 29, 2013, on Western Avenue in Hampden. The driver of the dump truck was conscious and speaking after being evacuated and was flown by LifeFlight helicopter just after noon to a Bangor hospital. Area fire rescue included Hampden, Bangor and Newburgh and two extrication devices were used to cut away the cab of the truck.
