Lobsters, crabs being treated inhumanely at Rockland facility, PETA says

By Seth Koenig, BDN Staff
Dan Paden, a researcher from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, describes and displays a video he said was taken using a hidden camera inside a Linda Bean's Maine Lobster processing facility in Rockland. Paden said the organization got a tip about inhumane mutilation of lobsters and crabs at the facility and sent an operative to get a full-time job there, where that person took video footage while working. PETA announced plans to seek criminal cruelty to animals charges because of the activity depicted in the video.
