Jay Gus Conrad, 66, of Lakeland, Tenn. leaves the Federal Building in downtown Bangor after being arraigned at the United States District court. He and Andrew J. Zarauskas, 59, of Union N.J. were indicted last month on charges of conspiracy to import merchandise, conspiracy to launder money, and smuggling goods into the U.S.
