Moosehead Lake Togue Ice Fishing Derby a success despite cold, windy weather

The sixth annual Moosehead Lake Togue Ice Fishing Derby had nearly 300 participants. Tim Obrey the Fisheries Biologist for the Moosehead Lake region, said that that the original idea behind the derby was to bring the togue population in the lake under control and it seems that the results are positive. This year the cold, windy weather kept many fishermen home, but the derby was still a success.
