Michael Snell and Steven Bridges are the first gay couple married in Maine

Michael Snell and Steven Bridges were the first gay couple to be married in the state of Maine. The two have been in a relationship for nine years and were first in line late Friday evening, December 28, 2012, at Portland City Hall. Snell and Bridges were officially wed early Saturday morning just after midnight.
