Residents of Chester, Lincoln and Mattawamkeag headed to the polls Thursday for the fifth time to vote on RSU 67's $12.1 million proposed budget, but voter turnout was light through the first half of the day, officials said. Chester officials reported 15 voters by noon, and Lincoln Town Clerk Shelly Crosby said 88 voters had voted by that time. Mattawamkeag officials reported a few dozen voters in the late afternoon. Polling places at the Chester and Mattawamkeag town offices and at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln were open until 8 p.m.
