Hikers carry tribute stones for Maine heroes in Baxter
The Summit Project, a nonprofit organization, led a Memorial Day weekend hike to the top of The Owl, which rises approximately 3,700-feet in Baxter State Park, on May 24, 2014, to honor Maine's fallen heroes, service members who died in the line of duty. Each of the 35 hikers carried a tribute stone engraved with the initials of their fallen hero.
