Herpetology in a high school: Stearns teacher’s ingenuity crafts unique class

A herpetology lab — a lab dedicated to the study of amphibians and reptiles — is almost unheard of in a high school setting, but Stearns Junior-Senior High School science teacher Doug Kranich offers his seventh-graders exactly that thanks to the boa constrictors and other snakes he himself owns and brings to the class.
