Grant will help publish Penobscot Nation dictionary

James Eric Francis Sr., director of cultural and historic preservation for the Penobscot Nation talks about a $339,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to the Maine Folk Life Center which will provide resources and linguistic training to the Penobscot Nation’s language revitalization efforts and the publication of a comprehensive dictionary.
