Gouldsboro residents vote to lend town’s famous bell to Canadian museum

Gouldsboro voters decided Wednesday June 11, 2014 at their annual town meeting to lend the town's famous bell, which used to be mounted on the ship Queen Victoria, to the Canadian Museum of History for an upcoming exhibit on Canada's confederation as an independent country. Some have said the bell is Canada's version of the Liberty Bell.
