After waiting nearly 70 years, island veteran presented with World War II medals

Peter Ogden, director of the Maine Bureau of Veterans Services, on Friday, May 2, 2014, presents Richard A. Alley, 87, of Little Cranberry Island, with a Bronze Star medal for Alley’s Army service at the Battle of Okinawa during World War II.
