Decked out in an early World War II Army decal scheme, a brown 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Sport Sedan was among the many vehicles displayed at Bangor Waterfront Park during the Sept. 8 Wheels on the Waterfront car show.

Held in Bangor Saturday, Sept. 8, the Wheels on the Waterfront car show drew automotive fans and visitors alike to check out the many antique, classic, and contemporary vehicles on display at Bangor Waterfront Park.

Among the vehicles on display during the Wheels on the Waterfront car show was this 1969½ Dodge Superbee owned by Keith Stevens of Hermon. Except for the engine components, the Superbee sports its original paint and has only 24,000 original miles on its odometer.

High-powered, late-vintage cars were among the more than 100 vehicles displayed at Bangor Waterfront Park during the Sept. 8 Wheels on the Waterfront car show. Antique and classic vehicles were also displayed at the show.

Among the live local entertainment appearing during the Sept. 8 Wheels on the Waterfront car show in Bangor was the Wildwoods Band, which performs Maine country music.

Owned by Brooke Green of Hermon, this 1969 GMC Van recalls the “Summer of Love” in 1969 and the Woodstock, N.Y. concerts that shaped a generation. For passersby at the Sept 8 Wheels on the Waterfront car show held in Bangor, the van was an attention-getter.
